⁵³ and the ·family groups [clans] of Kiriath Jearim: the Ithrites, Puthites, Shumathites, and Mishraites. The Zorathites and the Eshtaolites ·came [descended; ^Lwent forth] from the Mishraite people.

⁵⁴ Salma’s descendants were Bethlehem, the Netophathites, Atroth Beth Joab, half the Manahathites, and the Zorites. ⁵⁵ His descendants included the families who lived at Jabez, who ·wrote and copied important papers [were scribes]. They were called the Tirathites, Shimeathites, and Sucathites and were from the Kenite ·family group [clan] who came from Hammath. He was the father of the ·people living in [^Lhouse of] Recab.
